Waiting Shelter is a book about family and travel. In two major sequences, based on a 1990 journey through Europe, Jenny Bornholdt explores the shifting relationship between home and overseas.

Jenny Bornholdt is a poet and anthologist. She was named New Zealand's Poet Laureate in March 2005. She is the author of a many collections of poetry, including Selected Poems (2016), The Hill of Wool (2012) and The Rocky Shore (2008), which won the Montana New Zealand Book Award for Poetry in 2009.
