One morning, a young patient fails to keep an appointment. Room is the story of what happens to Amelia in the days that follow. 

Laurence Fearnley is the author of several novels ,including Room and Edwin and Matilda. The Hut Builder won the fiction category of the 2011 NZ Post Book Awards. Her most recent novel is At the Grand Glacier Hotel (2024).
